The Wingfield family and the PWFC have confidence that UNICEF has the skill, experience and talent to achieve their shared goals.” Peter Wingfield, actor & medical student A Message From Peter Wingfield

What would you do to save a child? Every day 21,000 children around the world die of preventable causes... 21,000...  Every day... New figures from UNICEF show that through the efforts of UNICEF, their supporters and other world health agencies, we have reduced that number from 22,000 a day to 21,000 a day.  Read more about it here at UNICEF. In spite of that, it is still unbelievable that for lack of the basic immunizations, clean water and other easily provided needs that 21,000 children will die each day. That's 7,665,000 children a year who are dying!  Our goal is to help stop it and help bring that number to zero. Project Edan supports UNICEF's programs to lower this number. It's a big job and sometimes it seems impossible, but consider this. So far that number has gone from 36,000 a day to 21,000. It doesn't happen overnight, but it does happen. Join with us to make a difference in the world. Along with UNICEF, we believe in Zero. Peter Is Running the Boston Marathon to Benefit Boston Children’s Hospital In September, Peter announced that he would be running the Boston Marathon on April 21, 2014 in support of the Boston Children's Hospital.  During his work in pediatrics with his rotation this past summer, he saw children who would be referred to BCH for further treatment, so he has a personal interest in this.  Peter is part of the BCH's Miles for Miracles program, which helps to fund their pediatric care, research and training.  Boston Children's Hospital is  the primary pediatric teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School and is the largest provider of health care for Massachusetts children. It is also the largest research center based at a pediatric medical center, whose work benefits children and adults everywhere. Peter has set his initial goal at $10,000 so we have a lot of work to do to help him meet this goal.  All donations, large and small, are needed and Peter is grateful for your support.  Our fundraising within the club will be directed to BCH from now until after the convention in Manchester so all money raised, whether  through sales, straight donations or auctions will go to BCH rather than UNICEF.  Giving Tuesday in December We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals… Wouldn’t it be great to have a day for giving back? #GivingTuesday is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. Boston Children's Hospital has partnered with #GivingTuesday to help bring the mission and spirit of the movement to communities worldwide. December 3rd - mark it on your calendars and help make a difference! Please consider supporting Peter as he raises money for Boston Children's Hospital by running the Boston Marathon in April:
